Look, now you can email me!

Over the break I went about improving my blog a little.

And given we know how bored I can get at work, and my love of emails, I have included an email link now!

See the envelope to the side of the page, on the right, that looks like this
Photobucket

If you click on it, it opens up to an email to me! How about that!!! So, if you want to discuss anything, from renovating to the weather, give me a bell

Thankful 14: My friend Britt

Image from Flickr

It is no secret that I find my job dull. I like the work, I like the people, but usually there isn't enough work to fill in my 4 days (I do admit, it is better now that I don't work full time). I just seem to get through my work quicker. And it is beyond an acceptable standard, so it's not like I am taking shortcuts.

So, I find myself sending emails to my friend Britt. We talk about all kinds of things: work matters, life, houses, renovating, marriage, friends, shopping. I love that we have shared emails back and forth for a year now. I feel like I know more about her than I do about my real life best friend (actually, its probably about the same amount of info, just compressed into a year).

And even though my position at work has got busier in the last 10 weeks, thanks to my covering two roles, I always make time to reply to emails. They keep me sane most days :) well, saner than my usual state

Something to make you giggle

When I lived with my mum, we had a chincilla cat, named Sasha (or 'eyes' if you are my husband, as before she died she had a yucky eye). She was such a lovely cat, very placid, quiet and very very soft. As long as you were quiet, she was happy, and would let you pat her for hours

One day someone sent me an email with this picture

And I laughed. And laughed. And almost wet myself. I showed my mum, she laughed and then banned me from buying limes. The cat looks just like our Sasha, and i think she could see where I was going with this.

Five years later, I am still laughing.

Now, my mum is a very private person, as she needs to be with her job, so when she set up MSN she didnt want her own picture associated with her profile. So guess what she got? LIMECAT!

Now, that was 2 years ago, and she still can't work out how to change the picture. which suits me fine, as it makes me giggle every time she signs in.
