You could have knocked me over with a coat hanger

I have been reading Megan's blog for a little while now, and loved her house from the start.

Recently she shared her 'Mom Cave' which is actually her walk in robe. And it would terrible of me not to share it with you.

Here it is empty, don't you just love the chandelier.

And the shoes. Oh. My. God. The shoes!

Isn't it the most adorable space ever? I wouldn't have enough clothes to fill an entire section, however I am in love.

Uh oh

Boredom is never a good thing. Especially on a Friday night when home sick. More so when there is a conversation on twitter about buying shoes.

High end shoes.

mmmm, Christian Louboutin Corto 85's. I am in love.

What they don't tell you about weightloss

When thinking about how my life would change after surgery, I thought I had thought of everything. I would need new clothes. I would need to alter my eatting habits. I would need to exercise. I would need to take a vitamin, as I doubt I would get enough vitamins from the small amount of food I would be eatting.

I did not consider that my feet would lose weight, and I would need new shoes.

Oh drat, I HAVE to go shopping for new shoes!
Oh how I love new shoes. Especially black heels for work! And these, well they are uber cute!

House/Husband/Me?

A little while back I won a $50 Coles Myer voucher over at Mum Toddler Babe. I debated what to spend it on for a few weeks. Something for the house, something for the husband, something practical?

In the end I chose something that I wanted for me.

Best thing was that I had a MyerOne rewards voucher, and Myer just happened to have 30% off all shoes!!!

A huge thanks to Melissa for running the give-away, and to Mainland for the voucher (which couldn't be spent at Coles, as we don't have one here :( I did consider using it for groceries for a feeting second. Shoes won in the end.)

It's Tuesday and I can't wait

Picture of Christian Louboutin Rolando platform pumps from Google

To go shopping on Friday in the city. I have a big day planned, I have my car booking for for a service at 8.300am (which means I need to leave home at 7.15am :O ) and then onto Melbs for a shoe shopping frenzy, before seeing my doctor in the afternoon. It has ben a while since I have been excited about general shopping (that doesnt involve the house)

Thongs in Winter?!?

Image from Flickr

Ok, so when it comes to fashion, i am known to have an opinion or two. But todays opinion is one that I really detest.

I live in Australia, right down the bottom without going across the strait (Sorry tassie, but somedays you really are another country). It is winter. It is cold. I have not seen a temperature above 12 degrees in several months now. It snows. It rains. It hails. And that wind is darn icy!

So, given all the above, it is no wonder that I hate seeing people wearing thongs (flipflops) in winter. It is a bogan thing to do, made even worse when you wear socks with your thongs. Seriously, what is with that? Do you like getting frost bite in your toes?

Anyway, last Friday I finally got around to having an ingrown toenail removed. Of course, I booked it in for the same day I had a dentist appointment (ie, i forgot about the dentist until they rang me the day before, and since i have cancelled this appointment two other time, i felt bad cancelling it again).

Now, my toe is bandages quite heavily, making it 3 times as big as my actual toe. Of course, that means I cant wear shoes that come near my toe. Thongs it is. Farrrrk, I am going to fashion hell.

So off i troddle, in my thongs and jeans (I drew the line at wearing socks) to the dentist. Of course, my chauffeur (mummy dearest) wants to do a spot of shopping whilst we are in the city. Double fark, now, not only does my dentist see me commiting this sin, so does 100 other people. I get through it, hiding behind my scarf, and manage to only step in one puddle for the day.

Now, given that i relayed this story, and my opinion, to my boss, she asked if i have changed my ways, and am now less judgemental of those who wear thongs in winter?

My answer: nope, i am in fact more judgemental of them, as not only are they bogans, they are idiotic for willingly wearing thongs. Least i didnt have a choice, and proudly showed off that i had a bandage on my toe for all to see.

Whats your opinion on thongs in winter?

Scared of my own...

Remember when I blogged about these shoes the other week.

Well my lovely friend Kir just introduced me to Shopbop and I found the shoes again. Showed husband them. His remark "you would be scared of your own feet dear".

Odd thing is, i couldnt help but agree with him Pin It

Mouse Shoes

Earlier today I blogged about my fashion choices, and I found these shoes. OK, I know I called them cat shoes, but they are really mouses.

Now, I can't see me buying these, mainly because I cant find them in my size, but also as I dont think I would get a lot of wear out of them. Sure i would wear them occasionally, but to spend $400 on a pair of shoes, i need to live in them to justify them to husband.

But they are pretty

Shoes!!!

Remember a while back where I mentioned I needed new shoes for work? Well it got desperate. To the point where I had to wear black shoes with blue pants. I almost died that day, it was embarrassing beyond belief. I just don't do that wacky kinda stuff.

So on Sunday on my little Melbourne get-away, I took my toosh to my favourite shoe store: Diana Ferrari.

Now I should mention, that whilst I sit back and admire lots of pretty shoes in magazines and on the internet, my days of wearing heels are well and truely gone. Once upon a time I used to be able to run in heels better than I could in runners. Then in my early 20's, I discovered thongs, and how much more comfortable they are compared to my heels. These days anything above a kitten heel is a recipe for disaster. So flats are my wide footed friend. And Diana Ferrari cater for my wide foot in a semi fashionable fashion.

So anyway, I brought these four pairs (much to husbands disgust!)

All in all, I am pretty darn happy. I wore the last pair today and they were so comfortable! Am considering going back for more ;)

Shoes

Photo from Flickr

It has been a sad week. Three of my favourite pairs of shoes have had bad health, and are now on life support. I think I will need to turn it off soon though, sad as it is for my shoes :(

So I need new shoes.

I love shoe shopping, but never find anything I like. I am cursed with being extreamly un-cordinated, and prefer to wear flat or kitten heeled shoes for the purpose of saving some dignity. I am also cursed in having a fat foot, so shoes need to be a bit wider than average, or have room to stretch.

I also love coloured shoes. My current shoes that I am wearing with my work uniform are pink. I have had them a year and a half and worn them at least 3 days a week since having them. I love them that much!

So I need your help. I need to buy shoes, and preferably online. I dont mind if the shoe shops are overseas, but I need your suggestions on where to go. My only pre-requisit is that its not from ebay.

Please help me

I have new shoes

Ok, so they arent the most interesting pair of shoes in my (temporary) cupboard, but if they make me go to the gym, so be it.

When I brought them, the women was telling me all about the cushioning, and the support and some other crap, that really, i didnt care about. I liked them cos they were yellow. and kinda pretty. And most of all, like wearing my favourite purple Ugg boots.

So with new runners on feet, and some inspiration from my good friend Kerry, i have decided to give  C25K a go. Because lets face it, i am begining to look a bit like a potato on my couch.

Oh, and whilst we are talking about running, it would be appreciated if you could support my friend Carolyn who is running the Mother's Day classic in support for her best friend. Its a good cause, for a very brave woman! Best of luck to C
