New House Inspiration: Guest Room

I have started to think about decorating the spare room. It originally started as Eliza's room, but I suspect that a little girl might not appreciate such a sophisticated space.

I am in love.

Mud Rooms

I would love a mudroom in our next house. It doesn't have to be as grand as these, but just somewhere to collect shoes and coats during winter rather than them laying all over the house.

I love the little lockers in this one, it would be handy with school bags in the future too.

I do love a bench window seat *sigh*

But even a little nook like this one would do.

Robes

I often think about our future house, and plan various bits of it. Currently I am planning robes, as our current robe isn't cutting the mustard.

The husband has the left side and the top shelf in the centre. I have the rest. His side is over flowing and he uses two tall boys as well.  Ideally we would have the robe set out like this EACH, not as a joint robe. Ahh the things you learn!

I think I would like something like this, it's simple and not over the top, and highly functional.

Home Office

In our next house I want an office nook.

We don't really use our office, and don't require a particular room, just a spot to put the iMac, associated devices and office type paperwork.

Drying Cupboards

I spend a bit of time on the couch these days, and therefore spend a bit of time thinking about things. Generally I do most of my thinking at the early morning (4am) feed as I don't turn on the lights.

This morning I was thinking about drying cupboards and how they are a requirement in the house we build.

My mother in-law has one and it looks awesome. Honestly, it saves so much energy by not using the dryer, and the heating is on anyway.

Bathroom Beauty

I love this bathroom, but I can't quite remember whose it is. I know it is from a blog I follow (sorry to mystery bathroom owner, it was in my inspiration file, but I just can't work out where from to credit you).

I love that custom vanity though, oh so much storage! I would love something similar in our new house, but with a laundry hamper cupboard in the middle.
