But I am most impressed with my husband (known as 'worlds best husband' in our household currently) as he didnt go to work today, and got our Brother in-law to help him put together the kitchen to suprise me when I got home. Pity I came home from work early and sprung them.

But I loves him none the less

Lollies (Candy)

I love lollies. They aren't soemthing I eat a lot of these days (I actually turned down chocolate the other day, husband almost died) as I have tired of the taste of the lollies over here. Skittles no longer taste like the rainbow, mars bars do not help me work, rest and play, and Cadbury chocolate does not make my eyebrows do this weird little dancing thing (see below)

So I kind of just gave up. I might eat half a milky way occassionally, but thats it.

Until today, when one of our staff members returned from a trip to the US. And brought us lollies. OMG, tootsie rolls are the most awesome things ever. I am importing a giant bag of them from ebay when I get home (also blocked).

So, I was thinking, what other good lollies (or candy shall we say) am I missing out on? What is your favourite?

Best Friends Sharing the Love

This weekend I was special enough to attend one of my closest friends wedding. It was a magical day, and I wish her, and her new husband a lifetime of happiness and love.

It was funny to sit down and talk to her, as she said that in the last 2 weeks the amount of times the words "Ring April, she will know" has been said in her household was uncountable. I laughed, as I fully remember what those two final weeks were like.

Oh yeah, that is me now, 20kg lighter. I have a fair way to go (man I hate my double chin with a passion). Pin It

Kitchen Update

I am staying with my inlaws this week to save on travel whilst I am away at work. Which means no kitchen building for me. But that doesnt apply to husband!

Etsy Lovers: Show me your favourite boy things

This morning my lovely sister in-law gave birth to a baby boy at 38 weeks.

So now I need to find a gift. I have brought a minkie blanket for him, but I want to get him a few cute little body suits, preferably from an online store (lets be honest, I don't have the time to shop, so I am getting you to do it for me ;) Thanks :) )

House Hunting: Part 2

Yesterday the husband and I went and checked out a few houses, including the one I posted about last week. It was lovely, but it had a fair bit of what we would call 'wasted space'. It just felt too big.

One of the last houses we looked at was the above (with changes) and it just felt like home. I am working on the changes currently, but I just wanted to share the display pics. I love the bathroom (though I would put doors on it, and a solid plaster wall).

House Hunting

One of my favourite things to do is look at display homes. I love coming home with decorating ideas, design ideas, and things that I love, and things I would improve. The only difference is this time we are looking with the intention of buying!

One of my favourite homes currently, is the Metricon Jasper. Although, I have made a number of modifications to it to suit our needs and wants. I once swore black and blue I would never build a  'estate' house (for lack of better words, I just mean a house that everyone else in the street has a version of).

But I could build this house. So lets take a walk through:
